[ The Doctor is enjoying the set-up, lounging comfortably alongside the table. ]

Romans used to eat like this. Thought it helped their digestion.

[That gets a big grin out of Rose.]

S'what he--y'said when I suggested eatin' this way. The bit 'bout the Romans. Not the digestion. I don't think anyhow. [She likes when they say things that utterly drive home the point that they're the same person.]

[Rose answers the door with a big smile, reaching to take the box from Cinna.]

Come on inside. M'glad you made it.

You know I wouldn't miss it.

[He leans over to give the hostess a kiss on the cheek.]

Everything smells wonderful, where do you want me to set all of this up?

[Well if he's near the kitchen he's probably going to be on the receiving end of quite a bit of chatter from the Doctor, who likes to talk when he's... Well, breathing, but often while doing things that don't require much thought, if a bit of multi-tasking. Luckily this time he can promise he won't be over near him attempting to 'improve' his organisational skills.]

Cinna! Good of you to come - and apparently well-prepared.

Well, Rose did say you might need some drinks and she didn't give me specifics. I figured I'd bring variety.

[He makes a few adjustments and stands back.]

[ It has been pointed out to him -- very pointedly, actually -- that this is Rose's boss and he probably shouldn't attempt any sort of intimidation or weirdness, but the Doctor doesn't think there'd be anything wrong with introducing himself, at least. He approaches Cinna in a calm moment, offering a firm handshake. ]

I'm the Doctor. Nice to meet you.

You're the- [There's a pause as he tries to process this.] I thought he was the Doctor.

[Confused, Cinna points towards the kitchen where the other Doctor had been cooking.]

[ He'll have one Donna Noble boldly coming at him armed with a large, warm scarf that will be slung around his neck. ]

Merry Christmas, Cinna!

[ Oh, look at that big old flirty smile. ]

Rose's boss, yeah? I'm Donna, Donna Noble. Nice to have you around.

[Rose hears the thump on the roof (top floor has it's advantages?) and heads up with a good idea of who and what it was anyway. When she sees Janine she smiles brightly. Okay, the fish is a little odd...or maybe not. In any case, Rose is happy to see her.]

Guess you brought your own dinner. M'glad you could come.

That simplifies the catering a bit.

[ The Doctor has come to admire Janine's bounty. ]

[ Coming up on the roof, Amy'll zero in on Janine immediately. ]

Hey.

[ Donna has no qualms about clamping a hand over her nose and mouth and giving a holler of disgust. ]

Janine! That smells-- oh, that's awful! ...Is that what you're eating?

[Rose hadn't expect him to dress up like Santa when she'd asked so this is a very pleasant surprise. She hangs back for a moment before going up to brush her hands across the Doctor's shoulders and beam at him.]

Y'make a brilliant Father Christmas.

[He's honestly really surprised he actually dressed up as Santa, though privately he admits out of the pair of them, the former incarnation probably is a much better choice for it. Not to mention he's feeling like he's quite done his own part with all the cooking. The following comment is not said with half the gloating I think it sounds like it's got.]

Nice suit!

[ Donna just stares, attempting to suppressing her smile. No, creepy bald Doctor, you haven't entirely won her over yet. ]

What's all this?

[Presumably at some point he ventures back up to the tent on the roof, where Janine is now lying down with her neck up, drowsing in the heat.]

You look ridiculous...ly appropos.

[D'ja see that save? Did'ja? She's pleased with that, she is.]

[Between helping the Doctor out and running back between the flat and the roof, Rose stops to say hi to Rory and Amy.]

Merry Christmas. Glad you could both make it. Havin' a good one so far?

[ Donna sweeps in, giving a sort of waving motion at the both of them, a playful scowl on her face. ]

Not good enough to come talk, hmm? You're like my nephews, you are. Hiding in the corner all antisocial!

[He comes out when he's got a minute or so between having to tend to things in the kitchen with a drink of his own and wanders over to say hello to the Ponds.]

Hello Ponds. How's the holiday been for you both? You've made about as much use out of that chair as we've managed to. Odd sizing on it, really. But, we've got.. odd furniture anyway, I suppose. But yes, you?
