They've got ships now? I thought that one was the last! They keep popping up! [ He's a bit indignant. ]

Yeah. [She winces a bit.] Indirectly sorta responsible for--me touchin' that one helped them...evolve and save their race...somehow.

[ Have a facepalm, Rose. A long one. When he looks up, he seems more sad than angry. ] Don't blame yourself, Rose. They're survivors. They were made to be. They'll cling to life any way they can.

Yeah. [There's not so much blaming as more of a 'doh' feeling to the whole thing.] M'sure it's gonna be fine this time though 'cause Amy and Rory are from after that and they're all right. Not under Dalek rule or anythin'.

That's a relief. [ He sighs. ] I'll get us out of it, don't you worry. 'S my job, after all.

Not worried at all. [And she gives him a bit of a sideways smile.]

We ought to dip outta here early and go see the zoo. They've got a unicorn.

Well, I'm sold. [ Yay, more cool things to see! ] Are you going to be in trouble for skiving off?

[She grins back at him.] Cinna's used to me skivin' off with a bloke named the Doctor. Might have to explain to him how you look a bit different. [She finishes up what she's doing, yells out that she's taking off and nods to the Doctor.]

Ready when you are.

[ He offers her an arm, excited about the idea of seeing this place with someone who is familiar with it. It's still all shiny and new to him, after all, not dull or constricting just yet. ] Lead the way, my tour guide.

[She gives him a big grin and loops her arm through his. Hopefully the City will stay shiny and new for a while. A cranky, bored Doctor is never a good thing.] Well that's new, innit? Me bein' the tour guide.

[And she leads him out the door and along the sidewalk.]

Quite new. I'm not sure if I'm dreaming yet. [ He looks around as they walk, perhaps not as curiously or openly as Ten would, but still taking in the sights, occasionally pausing to comment on different things and people. ]

Not dreaming but then that's probably what I'd tell you if you were, yeah? [She teases him a bit as they walk along. She gives him the chance to look about. She remembers how he was more subdued but it's fascinating to get to see it again.]

Such a liar, dream Rose. [ But after a moment, he shakes his head. ] No dream, this place. It feels too real. Anchored pretty tightly into this strange little dimension.

[She laughs a little and bumps him with her shoulder before she sobers a little and nods.] Yeah. Nobody's findin' any ways outta here.

I didn't say you ought to give up right off. Might be harder, but I bet we could find a way out if we looked hard enough. [ Confident in his abilities, as always, although without the TARDIS in box form... ]

Oi, not giving up right off. [She gives him another disapproving look.] Just a bit harder than usual.

[And honestly, going back scares her because what if she never finds the Doctor or what if he doesn't want to take him with her again. There are a lot of what if's involved in returning home and fewer that matter here. She was prepared to leave Jackie, Pete and Mickey behind before so really this isn't anything she didn't already expect.]

There's my girl. [ A Rose that just gives up wouldn't be Rose. And it's not as if he knows his immediate future. He certainly wasn't thinking about leaving her any time soon. ]

[She squeezes his hand in hers.] You know me better than that. Don't give up that easily.
