[She doesn't really expect him to build it in chronological order.]

I'm not really a big fan of walking around in big robots. Better to see things with your own eyes, feel that breeze through your hair, touch things properly! [And they're too much like Cybermen. But also legitimately with the tactile.] Bikes aren't bad though. Have to go coatless though. It's amazing how it's a universal constant, getting things stuck in a bicycle chain.

[Good point.]

Maybe we ought to stick to just runnin'. Works better with the coat.

Yes, and the coat is very important. Helps with the being impressive. Not that I need that, obviously. And it's warm.

Bit like a super hero's cape.

[Oh he's not going to take that as an extreme personal compliment at all, regardless of how much or little he may regard himself as a superhero. He's suddenly all the puffed up.] Exactly! It's not really there to do anything except look cool! Except for being warm and having great big pockets, just like a cape!

[Well she did mean to puff up his ego a bit with that one so she's pleased to see it had the desired effect.]

Sorta gives you that billowy saviour sorta look.

Saviour? Yeah? Billowy's fun too. I don't mind that description.

[He's got his corner all squared up and is getting the rail around towards her now.]

Well you saved me a time or two. Coupla other people as I remember it.

[She's sort of working from the middle to the other corner. Ought to work out fairly well.]

That makes me a saver. You've got to do something better to earn the IOU.

Hmmm somethin' like...save the universe a dozen times or so?

Might do it. Not from every perspective but the majority of people tend to agree with the universe's continued existence.

Think maaaaaaaaybe you qualify for the IOU then. If there's a question, think I can sway the vote for you.

[She's near the corner on her end of things.]

That'd be great. You can be my character reference in case my character's ever called into question in court. Again.

Just put me on your resume. Character reference, job reference, emergency contact, allthose sorts of things.

[He makes a face.] Rose, promise me I won't ever have to make a resume. I don't think there's enough paper to actually finish it.

[He's starting to get his bit of the floor to match up with hers in the middle.]

[She turns around, crawls toward him then stretches, leaning forward to press a kiss to his cheek.] Promise you'll never have to make a resume. You can be an unemployed genius with me workin' 'fore I'll let that happen.

[That was a very good promise.] Thank you. Much better. Not sure how I feel about that role switch but I suppose my ego can take the hit to avoid resuming.

[She thought so too.]

Hmmm [pause to pretend consider] Think I can handle the ego part.

I warn you, it can get to frankly gargantuan levels at certain points, start messing with it too much.

Mmmmhmmm. Yeah. [So much teasing grinning] I know. M'pretty confident I can keep it in check anyhow.

[Mutual.] I'd say you've got a fair shot at it, yeah.

Delicate procedure, y'know. Makin' sure it doesn't get deflated and keepin' it in check all at the same time.

[Not that she ever actually does must to keep it in check. Most of the time, his past in general is enough to do that. She would though, if he needed it.]

You make me sound like a hot air balloon.

And no hot air jokes.

[She does a good part in channelling how he happens to be viewing his own history to how it effects him in the present. It's not as direct but it's just as helpful, and in the long run probably far more so, having to do with perception over momentary feelings and thoughts.]

[She's going to slap both hands over her mouth and have a snort-laugh moment before she takes a deep breath, moves her hands and manages to get out--sort of with her not!laughing and all.]
