[Oh Doctor. She just grins] Actually you can be very polite and thoughtful sometimes.

A little, but you're young. It's allowed. And honestly rashness is better than pompousness or indifference. Far more fun.

[Entirely mollified.] Thank you. Very kind of you.

Mmmm yeah can't stand indifference. Pompousness is amusin' sometimes. Tiresome after a bit though, yeah.

[Oh good. She likes when that happens.] Saint Rose, 'member. Part of my very long, impressive title.

See, I couldn't agree more with both or either of those statements.

Long, very impressive. Ought to see what we can do about finding you new activities to be brilliant at so you can keep adding to it.

Might ought to just wait until one of us gets hit with whatever blasted tiny-ray they like to use here again - and that's a when, not an if - since that's when most of our artistic talents seem to emerge anyway. Unless you've been hiding skills from me.

[Yes! I'm going to type up what I remember, send it to you and let you add what you remember and then I'll make it a post in her journal so that we'll have it at hand to work through.]

You think all the people in our flat'll want to finger-paint?

[She thinks about it a moment.] He might. Has he ever fingerpainted before? [Or you know, you, Doctor, in your ninth regeneration, did you fingerpaint because someone thinks you ought to--he ought to and she's betting that tiny!her can convince him to do so.]

He didn't really get much of a chance to do any fingerpainting. Woke up, you know I saw what I looked like in that regeneration for the first time when I was in your flat that first time. So really, you'd know if he'd ever fingerpainted before just as well as I do.

[Her tone of voice is absolutely surprised. She'd had no idea that regeneration was that new.] I didn't--Definitely got to get him to fingerpaint. I'll ask after m'tiny. [Even gruff war vetern Doctor can't say no to tiny!Rose, right?]

[Well, he apparently knocked about a bit in the TARDIS for a while before actually going out and facing the world, but he wouldn't have done any fingerpainting there either, so. The Doctor's just casually chosen to leave that part off, what with probably being a sort of personal thing still to at least one of him.] I want to watch you try. [Grinning. Although he knows that neither one of them can say no to tiny!Rose. They can barely say no to adult!Rose as it is.]

[She sort of figured based on the photographs she saw on the internet. However, it says a lot that he didn't actually ever look in a mirror before then and that bothers her. Well, not bothers so much as makes her ache and resolve to make sure he knows how important he is to her and that he gets more hugs in that regeneration. They both need so much reassurance but in very different ways.] You can take me to ask him.

[And then a quiet pause. When she speaks again her voice is kind of...ragged at the edges. She's trying not to be upset about it because she knows he's right.]

He's going to get his own flat. Maybe down the hall from ours. [She's not going to cry over this. She is not. She still has both of them. She'll get to see both of them every single day.]

[Well Rose is clearly upset about this but he's personally having a hard time seeing it as a total negative. Clearly having the both of them nearly on top of each other all the time isn't working out, and he's always been someone who liked having his own space -- and really if he's not going to be more than a little ways away it'll probably be better for all of them, ultimately. And on a more selfish note, he'll get his room back.

But again, Rose is clearly not as okay with the idea.] That's probably a good idea. Spread us all out a bit. Let Donna and Amy and Rory and Sexy all visit him without having to come here all the time to do it.

I know. He said sorta the same thing. And he's going to give me the extra key. [Her voice is very, very quiet when she speaks again.] He could go back. Like I did before.

[She doesn't want to lose either of her Doctors and irrationally, she somehow believes the closer they are to her, the less likely they are to be taken. She knows it's ridiculous.]

M'bein' daft. I know.

He might. [Because just blatantly lying to her particularly when she already knows the truth is just a bad idea.] But from what I've seen people tend to stay here for longer than that. If they're here for more than a day, or a weekend, they tend to stay for whatever amounts as good here. [Okay maybe not the most comforting but hopefully helpful.] I've been here over a full year now and it doesn't look like that's changing at all anytime soon.

He could be here a long time. [That's selfish. She knows it but she doesn't have to be selfless talking to this Doctor. He's well aware of how very selfish she can be. She appreciates that he doesn't lie to her. She'd always rather be told the truth, even when it's difficult to hear.]

It'd better not. If you do, you're going to find me. I'm goin' to look for you. Remember?

[He's quite selfish in wanting her to stay here as well, though that's possibly mitigated a bit by her wanting to stay as well. As for himself, he's almost equal parts content to stay with her, annoyed at being effectively caged, and terrified of leaving.]

You'd better. I'll clearly not know how to find you; that apparently only works for short distances. Any sort of long, universe-crossing expanse and you're the only one of any use.

[She understands that a little. Probably not to the extent that he feels it. She had never really entertained the idea of going anywhere until he showed up so it's easier for her to get used to the idea that she's going to stay here. She misses traveling immensely, particularly with him. Sometimes she gets restless and needs to do something but it's likely never the way he experiences it.]

Mmmm good point. Guess I ought to brush up on my universe-crossin' skills.

[And she will actually. In fact, she will likely take advantage of having him here and ask him things that she didn't understand before but went on gut instinct. Next time, she's unlikely to have a TARDIS to help her out.]

[If she weren't here right now keeping him occupied and happy and grounded and all manner of everything, he would not look in nearly so good a shape as he does now.]

You'd better. I don't fancy being lost out anywhere I don't need to be longer than is absolutely necessary. Relying on you to come rescue me.

[Probably benefits her studies having a TARDIS here that can literally talk.]

[Hmmm good point. To some extent, probably not quite as drastic, the same can be said for her. She's only happy here because he's here. In any other circumstance, she would be doing everything in her power and then some to get out of here and back to him. A smile slips over her lips at his words and she nods.]

S'what I do. Rescue the Doctor, y'know. Ought to see 'bout gettin' you one of 'em universal chips. [She dips her head to kiss his shoulder, over his shirt.] Right there. Always be able to find you with some fancy, Rose-only locator.

[So true. She'll have to have discussions with the TARDIS about how to do the Universe crossing without her aid. Last time had been luck, tenacity and that habit humans have of never leaving anything alone that'd led to a crack that Rose turned into a rip because she could and a rip that led to another and another and finally a TARDIS without a Doctor that lead to everything else she did.]

You want to chip me? [He's honestly not totally sure what to make of this idea, even hypothetically.] I think ringing's worked fairly well in the past.

[Which was brilliant and amazing and impossible and something she's not allowed to do again.]

[She's teasing really. Though something more subtle and less...pet in nature would be handy.] I'll just scatter graffiti 'cross time and space if you don't answer your phone.

[Because she did it once. She figures it'd work again. Of course she'd need a TARDIS for that as well but if she's ripping apart universes anyway looking for him, might as well. As thorough as she was the first time, it's likely she saw this hypothetical timeline anyway and has already done it. They just won't run into it unless he does get lost.

She won't need to. As long as they stick together. If they don't...well she's making no promises.]
