Don't think the department store qualified as high fashion but I'll give it a go. I'll come by now for an interview, yeah?

Like I said, you're the first person I'll have interviewed with any kind of fashion experience. I'm flexible and allow time for training if it's necessary, but if you can fold properly then you're already a step ahead of anyone else I've hired.

Well yeah. I know how to fold with my eyes closed. I'll pop over in a bit.

Wonderful. If I'm in my office, just send someone up to get me and I'll come right down.

[Rose hasn't really acquired much of a wardrobe here so when she shows up, it's in the pants, dark pink shirt and dark purple jacket that she arrived in. Her other option is a pair of jimjams or jeans and a tee shirt. She spends a few moments looking around the store before she asks after him. She likes to know the lay of what she's getting into.]

I'm looking for the owner of the shop. Didn't quite catch his name.

[And as promised, the girl in question runs up to an office to get Cinna.]

[Cinna takes his time coming down the stairs, the shop is slow at the moment so it doesn't take long to spot the blonde girl that had been described to him. She appears well-groomed, the outfit isn't too bad for casual wear so she's not a total loss, like some of the city natives that he's had to train.

As for himself, he's in a simple black button-down shirt and matching slacks, having left his jacket in his office.]

I take it you're the young woman I was speaking with?

[She turns and smiles at Cinna, holding hand out to shake]

Rose Tyler. Didn't realize we'd had the whole conversation without introducing ourselves.

Cinna.

[He takes the hand and gives it a gentle squeeze.]

Don't worry, it's as much my fault as yours. I get so used to speaking on those devices, I forget to ask.

Shall I give you a little tour as we talk? You can ask me any questions that way.

Yeah. tour sounds nice. It's a pleasure to meet you, Cinna. [She tucks her hands in her pockets as they walk.]

Place looks pretty upscale. Not exactly what m'used to. [But by the tone of her voice, she's curious rather than discouraged by this.]

[He smiles, ushering her slowly around the floor so she can take everything in.]

We have general lines that evolve during the seasons, and I'm available for one-on-one consultations and styling sessions. There's a production space in the warehouse district, but all alterations and adjustments are done here.

[He motions to a small stage space.]

I have musicians perform here on weekends, it adds to the atmosphere.

[Rose arches an eyebrow. Now she's beginning to feel a little out of her league.] General lines I can handle. Just folding and selling, yeah?

[He chuckles and gives her a reassuring smile.]

Exactly, and if you can handle a little office work, too, perhaps some scheduling for me and perhaps at the salon..?

Ought to be able to do that. Easy enough, taking down messages and making appointments.

[She's becoming a bit more confident about this.]

Good. And don't worry, I'll start you off easy so you're not overwhelmed. Let me show you the cafe, I'll even buy you a drink.

[Leading her through a set of doors, they enter a nice, french-style cafe with local art on the walls and pastries in the counter.]

A bit of tea'd be nice. [She looks about curiously as they walks through the cafe.] The whole place is lovely.

[Cinna places the order for two of the house's special blend and ushers Rose to a nearby table.]

Tell me about yourself, where are you from, how did you end up in fashion?

I'm from London, England. That's on Earth, 2009. [She's learned these details are important in the City.]

Guess I just didn't have that many options. I dropped outta school 'cause it was just the same old thing every day and I wanted somethin' more excitin'. What I got, for a while at least, was a job workin' at Henrik's Department store. Haven't done that in a while but I sorta figger it's the kinda thing you don't really lose.

What have you been doing since then?

[The barista brought over their teas with an assortment of sugars and some cream. ]

[His question gets a big smile from her. She reaches for her cup of tea, pulling it towards her and reaching for some sugar.]

Traveling to all sorts of planets and dimensions and times. After that I worked with a place called Torchwood for a bit 'fore I transferred to takin' charge of a military unit researching multi-dimensional travel.

[She had a key to the box they couldn't get open. It gave her a bargaining chip]

[That got a raised eyebrow, planets, dimensions, and times? That was a breadth of information he wasn't sure he could process. But there was one part that stood out.]

You were in the military?

No, I was still a civilian, just sorta in charge of the unit because I had experience and they didn't.

Must have been an... interesting situation.

[It would have had to be. He certainly couldn't imagine the Capitol just letting... anyone take over for awhile. Despite their experience.]

Did you enjoy the assignment? Because there's a police force here that could use someone with military experience, I sure.

Guess you can say that. [She smiles slightly and shakes her head.] Not really my thing. I was just in it to get the Doctor back.

Did you? Get him back?

[He takes a sip of his tea, watching her carefully. He's no reason to dislike her, but he wants to get to know her as well as he can before he offers her a job.]

Yeah. According to the TARDIS and Donna, I did. Sorta got pulled here 'fore I could actually see him.

He's here though so either way...yeah, I got him back.

[Rose doesn't mind. She understands it's his store and he wants to be careful about who he brings in.]
