[(It's been such a long time this might as well be the first time all over again, really. And for this version, it actually is anyway.) With the pulling closer they probably have quite a bit of skin to skin contact happening, which in turn probably intensifies whatever feelings are coming through. He has to take a moment to adjust to that, but once that's taken care of, any sort of awkwardness that just happened is totally past - just pulling her to him as well and deepening the kiss.]
