008 |Accidental Video|

[The device flickers on to show the bathroom. There's a bathtub full of bubbles, a half glass of wine sitting on the edge of the tub and lit candles are scattered about. However, there's no sign of anyone in the bathroom or the tub. From the way the candles are guttering it's clear that they've been lit for a while. ]

DOC--[Rose's appearance is fairly sudden and she's clearly not in any stage of taking a bath. She's wearing a pair of black pants, a dark pink tee shirt and a purple leather jacket. She looks confused and a bit distraught.]ter

[She starts his name out almost a yell, like she's trying to be heard over something and finishes it up as a whisper. She bends over and blows out the candles then grabs her device, shoves it in her pocket--not realizing it's still on-- and throws open the bathroom door. That would be fury all over her face. She's angry about something.]

Doctor! [And it's pretty clear from the way she says his name as she storms into the living room looking for the Doctor that her anger is directed toward him.]

[ooc: This is a canon update. Rose was only gone for about a half an hour. Rose is now caught up to the very end of 'Journey's End'. Video or audio replies will be forth coming. Some of them after the fight she has with the Doctor.]

[His initial response to that is to hug her with the one arm that's around her, which effectively just pulls her more against him for a little while and then loosens almost back to where it had been before. He doesn't know how much she knows about just how integral her simply being somewhere - anywhere - has to do with his entire sequence of events.]

I hadn't ever seen the importance of those until I got out and started relying on people. It is kind of amazing how much those little speeches can impel people to do. And you're like a... A- A sexy motivational speaker, which is just, better. And you actually moralize, instead of doing it the roundabout way where you sort of point out everything backwards.

[identity profile] iam-thebadwolf.livejournal.com 2011-10-30 05:51 am (UTC)(link)
[It's a good initial response, one she sinks into very readily. She knows she could stay mad at him and yell and keep her distance but keeping her distance is the very opposite of what she wants. She's already yelled, he's apologized and they've discussed. Right now she'll soak up the hugs, the reassurance and the nearess of him.

Although his description of her does make her grin and blush a bit.]

Don't actually get the point of roundabout. 'Sides, not as if you could stand still for roundabout.

Don't actually get the point of roundabout. 'Sides, not as if you could stand still for roundabout. <small.[She doesn't say it in any mean sort of way. It's simply fact. She tilts her head up a bit to watch him for his next reaction.]</small>

Sexy? Well guess I can deal with that one. <small>[What she's really doing is boggling at him finding her sexy without fishing for a compliment. Shhhh, it's the first time he's called her sexy. She thinks it's allowed.]</small>

[identity profile] am-i-being-rude.livejournal.com 2011-10-30 06:12 am (UTC)(link)
[He would absolutely not know what to do if she were keeping her distance. 'Does that mean she wants me to come to her, or does she want space and she'll find me when she's ready? If I don't go to her thinking it was the latter then eventually she might get more mad... Maybe just sort of constantly being within general proximity.' &c. &c. General mental flailing about. He loves and normally understands humans and Rose, but certain areas. Black spots on the schematic.]

That too. Roundabouts, I'm normally gone a-roundabout halfway through. Like instruction manuals.

[He's grinning. 'Sexy' had been vaguely offhand but at the same time he was hoping she'd catch on to it.] Deal with it? Can take it back if you're going to feel burdened by it.

Oh my god I can html I swear. So sorry

[identity profile] iam-thebadwolf.livejournal.com 2011-10-30 06:30 am (UTC)(link)
They ought to both just get to the point. Guess they're afraid of offendin' you. [Which is to say, she's not. She caters to him enough that when she does take the moral high ground, it's important enough that she doesn't have time for roundabouts, offending or him going halfway through.

She nudges him in the ribs lightly.]

Oi, don't you dare. Could do with bein' burdened by it more often.

[Not that she expects him to say it more often. More just...it's something she won't mind getting used to: the idea that he thinks she's sexy.]

lmao

[identity profile] am-i-being-rude.livejournal.com 2011-10-30 07:06 am (UTC)(link)
Ought to go out and let them know I'm remarkably thick-skinned in most cases. [And that was one of the things that even in the previous incarnation he appreciated her for: managing that almost John Watson-esque balance of marvel at the talent but pragmatic assessment of the man.

He squirms a bit.]

Well then. I'll have to see what I can do about that. [It's sort of like... He basically always has, he just didn't go anywhere with it. The 'going somewhere' is the part he's getting used to.]

[identity profile] iam-thebadwolf.livejournal.com 2011-10-30 07:10 am (UTC)(link)
Then you'd have your own instruction manual. Would have been useful when I first met you. [It just sort of...came natural to her. She couldn't not be in awe of him but at the same time she couldn't stand still for it when he was crossing the line.]

Like the sound of that. [And she does. The 'going somewhere' part is the bit that's important.]

[identity profile] am-i-being-rude.livejournal.com 2011-10-30 07:37 am (UTC)(link)
Would've been boring, you mean. Who wants a big book with instructions telling you what to do in this case, and what to pull in that case, and which direction to run in case of accident and emergency?

Like the sound of being called sexy or the sound of being promised to be called sexy more often? Also, fair warning, the TARDIS answers to Sexy as well. That may be something just happens at home to minimalise confusion. [They're going somewhere. Gradual start, but he's acclimating fairly easily to different stages. Whenever she gets the idea that she can try and get him to feel more creative emotions, he'll just start losing entirely.]

[identity profile] iam-thebadwolf.livejournal.com 2011-10-30 07:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Much better to find my own way 'bout dealin' with you. [She's teasing but it's also true. The instruction manual would have just maintained the status quo Doctor-wise and Rose wasn't content with that at all. She needed to make the Doctor better.]

Mmmm think more the idea of bein' found sexy than anythin'. Not that I object to the other too. [She ponders this and while there's a tiny spike of jealousy because well, the TARDIS is human now, for the most part, Rose would agree on the name fitting. She'll be happy with the non-creative emotions, for the most part. Wait...exactly what defines a creative emotion? She might not be happy with just the boring ones...]

[identity profile] am-i-being-rude.livejournal.com 2011-10-31 01:13 am (UTC)(link)
Manual just teaches everyone how to do it the same way - much more fun to go out and work out your own methods. Usually works better than anything you'd find in the manual anyway. [And she did such a good job. As he sort of recently pointed out.

He'd have thought she'd be a bit used to that, since clearly you have to be blind not to.]
Really? Well I do. Not, object, I mean. Anti-object. [Well like not creative but more along the semi-prurient-ish? I think.]

[identity profile] iam-thebadwolf.livejournal.com 2011-10-31 03:29 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah. Usually like doin' things my own way anyhow. [He did and she did. It's something she's very proud of really; he's a good man. Not that he wasn't when she met him but it was more...latent potential.]

Good place to start anyway. 'Least if you ask me. [In which case, they should be fine. Eventually they might get there but even if (when?) their relationship gets more physical it's not likely to reach that stage for a good, if ever, while.]

[identity profile] am-i-being-rude.livejournal.com 2011-10-31 05:19 am (UTC)(link)
[Yeah. Making a good thing better.]

Learning fast then. Like usual. Isn't so hard. [I don't think either of them is quite so far gone as to merit the 'if' over the 'when', but yes.]

[identity profile] iam-thebadwolf.livejournal.com 2011-10-31 04:21 pm (UTC)(link)
[She looks up at him a bit without moving from her position all snuggled up against him.]

It's a bit of learning experience for you too, yeah? Or at least a re-learnin' sorta thing.

It's a bit of learning experience for you too, yeah? Or at least a re-learnin' sorta thing. <small.[Either that or his previous romantic relationships have been with practically immortal Time Lords as well so taking a couple of centuries to get 'round to things is alright.]</small>

lol you and your html all of a sudden.

[identity profile] am-i-being-rude.livejournal.com 2011-10-31 10:24 pm (UTC)(link)
[He considers that for a moment or two before responding.] I'd say both, to certain percentages. A general uptake of knowledge either way, but... yeah. Both. [An excellent point.]

/facepalm I always swear I'm watching it better and then BOOM

[identity profile] iam-thebadwolf.livejournal.com 2011-10-31 11:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Helps a bit I think. That we're both learnin' then. Less worryin' 'bout lookin' like an idiot 'cause we both probably will.

[Lies. She'll still worry. Not really about looking like an idiot but more of 'is this all right? is he okay with this? is-is-is' and so on.]

[identity profile] am-i-being-rude.livejournal.com 2011-11-01 01:21 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, you never wanna worry about that. All sorts of paralyzing. Keeps you doing anything fun.

[At some point hopefully they'll get to a point where she won't have to constantly second-guess that he won't get skittish and try to backpedal. Something tells me that would be sort of exhausting.]

[identity profile] iam-thebadwolf.livejournal.com 2011-11-01 01:58 am (UTC)(link)
Then we can get rid of that sort of thought right away, yeah? Just sorta take things how we want them.

[Incredibly exhausting and with time, that feeling ought to go away.]

[identity profile] am-i-being-rude.livejournal.com 2011-11-01 02:35 am (UTC)(link)
I thought we were? Are we not? Is this not how we want things?

[And by 'we' he means 'you'.]

[identity profile] iam-thebadwolf.livejournal.com 2011-11-01 03:06 am (UTC)(link)
[She gets that whole we=her thing]

No, it is. [She's quick to assure him of that.] S'xactly how I want things. Just sorta for future reference.

[identity profile] am-i-being-rude.livejournal.com 2011-11-01 03:48 am (UTC)(link)
Oh. Good. [Momentary rising worry abated.] Got it. Longer termed type... stuff.
